In Loving Memory of Xiu Lan Wu

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Xiu Lan Wu, who departed this life on June 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She faced her illness with grace, strength, and unshakable love for her family, leaving behind a legacy that will live on for generations.

Born on December 24, 1933, Xiu Lan’s life was defined by selfless love, quiet resilience, and a steadfast dedication to those around her. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose nurturing spirit shaped the lives of all who knew her. In her early years, she was a devoted mother and teacher, and later in life, she lovingly helped raise her grandchildren.

Xiu Lan continued her lifelong mission of caregiving as a dedicated volunteer in the City of Boston’s Foster Grandparent Program. Her gentle wisdom, kind heart, and tireless support made a lasting impact on countless children in need.

A Viewing and Funeral Service in her honor will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM at Wing Fook Funeral Home, located at 13 Gerard Street, Boston, MA 02119. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman.

At 11:00 AM, we will make our way to Forest Hills Cemetery for her final resting place—a peaceful location befitting someone who treasured serenity and family.
