Xi Yang's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Xi Yang Yu, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on December 10, 2025, in her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in 1941 in a small village in China, Xi Yang life was shaped by resilience, love, and an unyielding commitment to her family. From an early age, she understood the importance of hard work and perseverance, values she carried with her throughout her life. As a young woman, Xi Yang dreamed of a brighter future, not just for herself but for her children.
As a grandmother, Xi Yang’s influence was immeasurable. She taught her grandchildren not only about the beauty of their heritage but also the power of resilience, the importance of education, and the value of family. She had an infectious laugh, a gentle spirit, and a wisdom that transcended generations. Her family will forever cherish the memories of her countless stories, her gentle presence, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many dear friends who were fortunate to know her. Though she may no longer be with us, Xi Yang’s legacy of strength, love, and sacrifice will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of dreams and the importance of family, and she will be dearly missed.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at GrandView Memorial Park & Crematory, in Glendale on December 19 at 9:00 am.
