Wyrma Acevedo, 62, of Bethlehem Pa, Beloved Mother went home on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Juan Acevedo and Benedicta (Garcia) Acevedo. Wyrma was affectionately known by many people as “Tuti” She recently worked for BB&T for more than 25 years. Previous to this she owned El Coqui Food Market on Ridge Ave and Puerto Rico Food Market on 2nd st in Allentown. She was an active member and friend of the City Limits Assembly of God Church. Wyrma dedicated her life to helping and uplifting others. She had a way of making you feel like you’ve known her forever. She was a foster parent to many teen girls for over 10 years and gave selflessly to each one.
She was always devoted to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jaime Rivera Jr., daughters, Yvette and Gabrielle Rivera, brothers, Juan and Raymond Acevedo, grandchildren, Alyscia, Alexavier and Jordan Rivera, and great granddaughter, Aryanna Heron. She was predeceased by a sister, Minta Acevedo.
A viewing will be held 6-8pm Friday January 29, 2021 and 12:30pm-1:30pm Saturday January 30, 2021 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA, followed by a graveside service at 2pm at Sacred Heart Cemetery on Fullerton Ave. Whitehall, PA
