Oh Gran - you've always been a woman full of surprises; this surprise was one no one was anticipating. 

There are few people who can make you feel loved so instantly - and you're one of those people :) How do you do it?! I'll always admire that about you. I hope to cultivate the same superpower one day. 

I will miss you so much. Thank you for always being so loving and accepting of me, and for showing me that it's important to live life to the fullest. I am so grateful to have seen you in May, and for our beautiful visit. I wish we'd had a few more in the books; but life is always like that, isn't it?
