Wynema's obituary

Mrs. Wynema Morris Colvin, age 81 of Vidalia, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born on November 19, 1940 to the late Fred and Eva Belle Morris. She worked as a cake decorator for Winn Dixie for five years, and worked for 20 years at Palmetto Box Company. She retired as a secretary of Calvary on Aimwell with 13 years of service, where her church membership was held. Mrs. Wynema was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Gideon Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Calvin Morris and Kenneth Wayne Morris, and two sisters-in-law, Kathy and Shirley Morris.

Mrs. Wynema is survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy Colvin of Vidalia; two sons, Michael Colvin and Thomas Colvin (Gwynn) of Vidalia; one daughter, Cherry Weeks of Lyons; three brothers, Philip Morris of Vidalia, David Morris of Glenwood, Richard Morris (Renee) of Warner Robins; one sister, Kathy McDonald (Barry) of Tarrytown; four grandchildren, Michael Colvin Jr. (Edwards), Amanda Galbreath, Christy Bennett (Scott), and Deidre Murphy (Cameron); and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00am in the chapel of Roberts – Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Efton Green to officiate. Graveside service and interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
