Winter and the family!

My thoughts and prayers and support goes out to the staff at Clearwater Marine Aquarium through this difficult time! I know winter will continue to watch over them in heaven and her inspiration will remain in our hearts forever!!!! I love you winter 

Rest easy sweet girl!! 

A year ago my friend Sarah was in a car accident with a drunk driver and was instantly paralyzed and had both of her legs amputated and just looking back when I found out that she had been in a car accident and having to see her lose her legs was devastating and sad to watch her go through but she never gave up and is an inspiration to a lot of people especially me, and getting updates on her story or what she’s been through had been so amazing to read and the videos she’s posted sometimes make me emotional and have happy tears!! But I’m glad she’s ok and makes me think a lot about winter! And my friends and I always say this we love you Sarah! And it just keeps her going and it’s so amazing to watch the amount of love and support she has gotten over the past year has been amazing!! She is so much like Winter and it’s amazing!!

Trip to Clearwater after Disney for 13th birthday!

Ever since I watched the Dolphin Tale movies, I have loved Winter. When I was 7, I was able to visit her and I also got a kiss from Hope. I have multiple Winter toys from when I was younger. Two special things I have are a Winter poster and blanket, which remind me how much I love her. Last week, for my thirteenth birthday, my parents took me to visit the aquarium. It was different not seeing Winter, but I was amazed by how different the aquarium looked. Winter raised so much money for the aquarium to expand and be able to rescue even more animals. Winter is saving more lives. CMA is an amazing place for animals to be rehabbing and living at! They do a phenomenal job caring for the animals!

Winter has been through so much in her life, stuff that no other dolphin has been through, so we should be proud of her. Although it is sad, Winter is in a much better place now. I am upset that I cannot see her, but I’m glad that she is not hurting anymore. Winter’s legacy will live on forever, and she will always be in our hearts. 

• Winter inspired me to start going to school for my dream of becoming a dolphin trainer. I decided I wanted to work with dolphins after watching Dolphin Tale 1 and 2. I wanted to meet her in person but never got the chance to do it. And I regret it every day.  She has definitely made a lasting impact on me. I am still grieving over her a month later and probably will be for a long time to come. Finding out she was sick and then that she passed away was like a knife in my heart. I felt like I lost a family member and in my heart I did. Not being able to meet her has also taught me that life is too short and you never know what can happen and when.

I was so upset when I heard of your passing.  We were blessed to see you from "Make a Wish" for my grandson.  We sat on the platform and fed you and played with the ring toss.  We learned that you were a very strong mammal that never gave up!  They believed in you Winter.  They knew you could figure out how to use a new mechanical tail.  And you never gave up until you realized that you could continue to live.  RIP sweetheart.  I will always love you and I will continue to donate to your cause.   You're in God's care now.  

 I love Winter so much. I was lucky enough to get to visit her twice, but on that day when I found out you were gone, it was the worst day of my life. I got to visit you on the platform, Winter, and you were so sweet and gentle when I fed you. We will always have a bond. I miss you, Winter🐬

I was so sad when I heard the news of Winter's passing. It felt like when you get punched in the stomach and can’t get up again. I hurt like that for a while. It still hurts, but in a different way. I love you Winter.

Rest in peace sweet Winter. Although I never had the chance to come visit you I would always check on you in the webcams. Say hi to Panama for me! I always watch Dolphin Tale which is actually how I found out about you and your story. You inspired me to become a marine biologist and pursue my career in marine studies. WE LOVE YOU WINTER!!!

Winter taught me to never give up. She taught me that no matter how bad something may be you can get through it. She taught me that even if you broke something bad in your body like a bone you can get through it. You helped me get through a really rough time in my life few weeks after I saw you. I'll never forget that. I'll never forget how much seeing you helped me. It continues to help me to this day. Ily winter. <3

I learned so much from Winter over the years, but none of the greatest memories I’ll ever have to hold on to will be the first time I saw her in July of 2019. Before that I had been obsessed with her and with seeing her in real life, and that dream finally came true. When I first saw her I couldn’t look away. My dad and brother had to keep walking around the aquarium because I spent so long at the Winter Zone, but it was so so worth it. She instantly inspired me from the start when I first saw her in the movies but in real life it was a whole other level. After that she inspired me to work hard at my goals and don’t give up no matter what people say or think. I took that knowledge and used it in school, in sports, and in life wherever it was. I shared her story countless times throughout the years and I shared her legacy after her passing. The lasting impact she had on me was to not give up on my dreams, be persistent and find every positive in life that you can. Also just because she’s gone I can’t give up my love of dolphins or the aquarium in general, her legacy was to inspire people to change the world for the better and for the ocean and I will always think back and remember it whenever I am sad or miss her. So thank you Winter for inspiring me to do the things I do today, and for leaving a legacy that we will never forget. Love and miss you 3000

Winter thought me that anything is possible. She lost her tail and got a prosthetic one , and thought her self how to swim again . It showed me never to give up, fight til the end. And that's what she done. I'll always remember my dear friend , WINTER THE 🐬 . I LOVED HER FROM THE FIRST TIME I HEARD ABOUT HER . I GOT TO GO SEE HER THANKS TO MY DAUGHTER, WHENY MOTHER PASSED LAST YEAR, I TOLD MY DAUGHTER, " BEFORE I DIE, MY WISH IS TO GO AND SEE WINTER THE DOLPHIN 🐬, AND IN SEPTEMBER OF LAST YEAR 2020, MY DAUGHTER MADE MY DREAMS COME TRUE... BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!! I LOVE YOU WINTER!!! I HOPE YOUR SWIMMING IN HEAVENS BEAUTIFUL OCEAN WITH PANAMA!!!!
