Winifred “Winkie” Nesbitt Game died June 13, 2024 in Tampa, Florida. She was born in Tampa to Tom and Maxine Nesbitt on December 29, 1938. A graduate of Plant High School, Winkie attended Wesleyan University in Georgia, the University of Florida, and the University of Georgia where she met James Grantland King. In 1960, she and Grantland married and made Atlanta their home.
