Wilroy Junior Cook, 75 of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his residence, Kannapolis, following a period of declining health. Wilroy was born October 21, 1943 in Rowan County, NC, a son of the late Wilroy Donaldson Cook and Evelyn Styres Cook, and a stepson of Beulah Norris Cook, Also preceding him in death was his mother, Evelyn Styres Cook in 1958, his father, Wilroy Donaldson Cook in 1994, his infant daughter, Amber Nicole Cook, his stepmother, Beulah Norris Cook in 2004, and his loving wife of 27 years, Beth Upright Cook in 2017, He was employed in the office at Cannon Mills for a number of years and later was a janitor and a lawncare worker at City of Concord until his retirement on January 31, 2008, Survivors include his friends, Charity Bell and Peggy Green, his son, Zachary Robert Cook, A memorial service will be held at a later date.
