Jeff's obituary
Willis Jeffrey Hanks (Jeff) left this earth on February 2, 2022. Jeff was born on August 10,1955 in Atlanta Georgia but soon moved with his parents to the Bay Area in California where he spent his childhood and most of his adult life.
Jeff was always very active and agile enjoying many sports but specifically baseball from an early age. He made friends easily and was always surrounded by good friends in his early years. He enjoyed keeping busy and having fun. His physical and creative spirit lead him to a career in Landscaping, owning his own business from an early age. He worked hard and enjoyed making peoples yards a beautiful place to be. Jeff also loved music, attending many concerts in his youth and although he loved the music of the 70’s and 80’s, he also enjoyed keeping up with the different genres of future years. Jeff was a simple man who enjoyed the great outdoors, hiking and camping swimming and skiing. He enjoyed nature, birdsongs, the touch of the sun on his back and watching the moon and stars at night.
One of Jeff’s greatest sources of pride was his son, Trevor who he loved with all his heart. In the words of his son, “ My Dad was a classic example of “rough around the edges” but at his core he was quite tender and capable of loving deeply. He had a laugh that was absolutely contagious, I still hear it so clearly. I wish to honor him for the lessons he taught me both realized and unrealized. I will remember him with pure joy and gratitude. I love you, Dad”
Jeff is survived by his son, Trevor Hanks and his sister, Sharon Hanks. We are grateful to know he has found peace and is now with both his parents who he loved so much.
