Willie was born to Odell and Mabel Wesson, of Checotah, Ok. He was the eldest of eleven children. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Elliott and one sister Ruby.  After receiving an early education in Oklahoma, he moved to California. Willie met and married Katherine Johnson (Deceased). Later in life he met and married Rein (Pat) Fox and they remained together until his passing.  Willie had a natural gift to work with vehicles and went on to lead a vibrant career as a master mechanic and was often sought out for his expertise. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and cherished brother and friend. He also cherished by his life-long companion, his dog Comanchie.  

Willie left this earthly life on August 27, 2023.  He leaves to cherish his memory: Pat Wesson, four sisters Mable Wesson-Hickman, Willie B. Wesson-West (Oliver), Myrtle Wesson, Annette Limbrick, Carl Edmundson, Percy Edmunson, Jeffrey Edmunson and Karen Edmunson; three daughters – Gwendolyn Clark, Cheryl Hardin-Davis (Eric) and Yolanda Smith (Remi) Texas, a son – Willie Wesson, Jr., a special niece – Greta Clemon-Knox, grandchildren – Khelan Stovall, Benjamin Abraham, Datwane Abraham, Cornelius Abraham, Shantel Abraham, Destiny Whalen, Paradise Whalen and a host of great-grantchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends that loved him and will miss him greatly.
