Bill,
I am so happy I was able to reconnect with you before you left this earth. I will never forget all of the fun and adventures we had in Woodstock together, especially our hippie flea market. I hope you are at peace. I will see you in the next life my friend.
Abrazos,
Susan

Bill was born and raised in Philadelphia. .. he left tbat city far behind for the greener pastures of NYC, Northern Ireland , Berkeley, Santa Fe and Woodstock. .. but remained passionate about cheesesteaks, pretzels, and especially the eagles and phillies sports teams.

At 9 o'clock the morning of November 4, I went to world peace prayer as I do on the first Sunday of each month. I called Bill and spoke to him briefly. I could hear that he was in cheyne-stokes and i knew it would not be long. I asked my friends to chant for him.We all began to chant. I called the hospital back and asked the nurse to hold the phone to Bill's ear and she did. I could hear him bteathing. He could hear 100 people chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo for 10 minutes foiiowed by the chanting of a portion of the Lotus Sutra. Bill continued to listen. Chanting began again for another 10 minutes. I could still hear his breath. When the gong sounded at the end of the hour i told him I loved him and hung up the phone. He passed at 10:30 am. Bill and I had many wild adventures and he rented rooms in many of my houses in Woodstock. My children loved him. I spent hours talking to him on the phone. He was a brilliant and entertaining conversationalist and a wicked, funny man. I'm going to miss him a lot.
