In MEMORY~On this day 1/1/22, two years ago, my beloved partner of 10yrs and many past lives, suddenly passed away. As he rests easily now on the other side.. may many more learn of one of THE most mis-diagnosed issues...Early Onset behavior variant, FrontoTemporal Dementia...It is genetic and starts as early as 40 to 64yrs of age...50% pass away with a partial pneumonia due to nerve issues, there is no cure, it is progressive and End of Life is 6 to 8 yrs after onset. Unlike Old Age onset Dementia, 1st symptoms are Short Term Memory Loss, then mood swings and aggressive behaviors against themselves or others...that they are unaware of and cannot control. They swing from normal to harsh behaviors without even realizing it... Brain scan confirms the anomalies...and Doctors who are aware of this issue. One of Dave’s loves (passion!) was the koi fish.  I can certainly relate to that.  Years ago I had built a pond, complete with a granite stepped waterfall and it was home to my beautiful collection of koi fish; their lavish veils glittering in the sunlight when they came to visit me.  So, thanks Dave, I think I need another pond!

When I think of Dave, I envision a scrubby-looking pasture and then along comes this humble gentle-giant of a gardener. He patiently works his magic here and there, creating new opportunities for life, and then moves on. He is in another pasture now, but what remains of this one? It is verdant and rich with a broad multi-colored panorama of new lives flowering in soils that were once uninviting, if not brutal. Dave was a wonderful gardener of the soul.

Dave and I pretty much agreed on everything, including his approach to life in never backing down, or giving up and taking a balanced temperate view with everyone, never compromising your own principles. We all miss him a lot; he was always a bright light in my day.

My sincere heartfelt condolences.

I met Dave when he and Antonia both came to my cottage a few years ago. We had a fabulous time.

He will be missed.

Every conversation with Dave had an overwhelming theme of helping humanity and the “Greater Good”. Dave’s life continued to show the fruits of “that it is truly better to give than to receive”. You gave us your best Dave! We will strive to accomplish the same.

Sixty-eight years ago, today, was the birth of a babe who, during his lifetime - this man; once you met him, you would Not forget him! His dedication, passion and hard work in everything he touched was and still is an inspiration to so many. His love and perseverance for so many children, the young boys, he guided and helped mold and give direction to their lives will live on and on. And, with the gratitude of many parents I’m sure. He was surely an example of how a life CAN be lived - to the full!

We Honour Dave on this day,

Our Tour at Granada Studios t…
2015, Manchester, UK
Our Tour at Granada Studios to 'Coronation Street ' in front of the 'Rover's Return'!!
Dave introduced me to 'Coronation Street' that had filmed in Manchester at Granada Studios for 60 yrs. We watched together every Monday, Wednesday and Friday when we found and update site that shared the latest episodes. Dave would 'translate' the British Language for me. Then for one of my Birthday's we went to Manchester, UK and I found we could visit the Lot where it was filmed and take a Tour!! It was awesome! We Loved it! Of Course Dave had worked there when he was young and was with British Telecom, where he would see the stars in the Commissary. What a treat! Of course, there were other times...taking him to Las Vegas, to the 'Love' show about the Beatles, showing him my LA favourite spots, from the SRF Lake Shrine, and then to Malibu, Beverly Hills, downtown Santee Alley. And he Loved going to Trader Joe's in Arizona when my Mother passed...and he helped me there without complaint, except for the heat, for 3 months! Many more, at the Lake, walking in the Conservation Areas, Hiking in the woods...I will always remember and cherish those times.
