It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William "Andy" Wehle, known to many as simply Andy. Born in 1942, Andy departed from us on November 23, 2023.

He leaves behind his beloved children; his son Joe and his daughter, Trina, who will continue to honor his memory. His loss will linger in our lives, but his memory will live on and reside in our hearts forever.

Andy was a man of many talents and interests. In 1997, after moving back to California from Idaho, he established his successful business, A&A Mechanical. His love for learning and understanding how things worked was demonstrated in his preference for books on gold mining and technical manuals. Work was more than just a means of livelihood for Andy; it was one of his treasured recreational activities, and he was rarely idle.

Andy had an eclectic taste in music, ranging from rock & roll, oldies pop hits, 90's country to bluegrass. He found entertainment and interest in politics, he watched the local news as well as Fox News whenever he was near a television.  More recently he discovered YouTube and enjoyed viewing bass fishing videos on it. Despite his diverse interests, his love for animals, especially dogs, held a special place in his heart. He would go out of his way to help and/or protect any animal.

Andy was a warm, witty, intelligent, hard-working individual known for his kindness and sense of humor. He was a firm believer in the power of determination, often reminding us that we could accomplish anything we set our minds to. His life was built on this philosophy, marked by his illustrious career that included serving in the Air Force twice, trying a wide variety of jobs in his early years including hard rock mining, working at a Texaco station, and as a cemetery caretaker. He always told his kids that being your own boss was better than working for someone else.  He demonstrated that belief by owning and operating three successful commercial refrigeration companies over the course of his life.

Andy's legacy is one of generosity, a love of animals and an undying love for his family. In reflection of this, and in lieu of sending cards or flowers, Andy would have been delighted to know that donations were made in his honor to the local animal shelter or other rescue groups.

A Celebration of Life for Andy will be held on January 13, 2024, at 11 AM at the Monday Club, in Oroville CA. All who knew and loved him are welcomed to join us as we pay tribute to a man whose life was as vast as his heart.
