Bill was that fun uncle that everyone wishes they had.  We lived in Oakland when he came from Maine.  My mother and he would get laughing in the kitchen and it brightened my whole house.  He hired me as a young teenager to clean up jobsites.  I was a bookish kid and really wanted to help, but wasn't that good.  One day, when I struggled with some sheetrock, he turned to me with a smile and said: "You are going to college, aren"t you? Love you, Bill.

My favorite memories of Coach Warner were when he’d come over to our house after softball practice and Lucky would get him to throw the ball for her over and over until she was exhausted. He could never bring himself to say no to her. May his memory be a blessing to all of us.

My condolences to Bill's family. I first met Bill roughly 1984 through a friend in banking. I worked with Bill through my company which performed electrical construction in the Bay Area of Northern California. We became immediate friends as we had a lot of commonalities that drew us together. He was from Main and I from Wisconsin. We both just packed up one day and move to California. The rest is history. He met his wife, Sheila, and I met my wife Linda here in the area. It was meant to be for both of us.

Bill & I had a great relationship over the years working together and socializing. A wonderful man and outstanding craftsman. I will miss him very much.

Love & blessing to the family!
