Bill was a long time subscriber to the Metropolitan Opera, even after he moved to Philadelphia he continued to attend the Saturday matinees. When he lived in Chicago he attended the Lyric Opera regularly and in Philadelphia he enjoyed the Orchestra and the Philadelphia Opera Festival in the Fall which he would attend with his step daughter Jenny.
