William “Bill” Voss, a treasured 66-year-old resident of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025. Born on August 30, 1958, in Peoria, Illinois, Bill was the son of Gene and Margaret Voss and one of eight cherished children.
Bill lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Bill served his country as an air traffic controller. However, it was his extraordinary creative spirit that truly defined him. A gifted artisan, Bill possessed remarkable talent and precision in woodworking, calligraphy, and writing. His family often said, "If you can dream it, Bill can build it." His creative works will continue to bring joy and beauty to all who knew him.
Those who knew Bill will remember him for his infinite patience, his non-judgmental nature, and his boundless kindness. He always did the right thing and prided himself on being a good human, consistently putting others before himself. Bill's generous heart and willingness to help others were evident in all aspects of his life. Above all, he was a devoted family man who showed his love through both words and actions.
His legacy of creativity, kindness, and unconditional love will live on through his loving wife, Cindy, his beloved children, Keyan (Lacey), Cody (Matthew), and Katarina, and his granddaughter Olivia.
A celebration of Bill’s life is being held by the family on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 904 Troublesome Creek Drive, Greensboro, NC 27455, from 2pm-4pm.
