Bill's obituary
William Symonds
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Symonds, who left us peacefully on October 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Bill was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather whose warmth and wisdom touched all who knew him.
Born on February 28, 1939 in Van Buren, Arkansas, Bill lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and deep love for his family. He shared 58 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Denise, and together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and enduring memories.
Bill’s legacy lives on through his children, Stephen (Jennifer) and Michael, grandchildren, Mariah, Elijah, Zechariah, Joy, Mia, Taylor and Elizabeth, and great-grandchildren, Kian and Avery, all of whom he cherished deeply. He took great pride in their accomplishments and found joy in the simple moments spent together — whether sharing stories, tending his garden, or offering one of his famous smiles. Bill is also survived by his brother Robert (Linda) and his wonderful family as well as Bill's many nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Bill will remember his steady strength, his sense of humor, and his boundless generosity. He had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued, and his spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (https://www.fredhutch.org/) in his memory.
Though he is gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.
