It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved William Alan Shoop, who peacefully departed this world on June 5, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.

Born on August 26, 1944, William Alan Shoop was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. He lived a life filled with purpose, grace, and compassion, making a positive impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. William faced life's challenges with unwavering strength and always found a way to bring joy and light to those around him.

William had a deep faith in Jesus Christ, which provided him with comfort, hope, and guidance throughout his life. His relationship with Christ was a source of strength and inspiration, shaping his character and values. William lived out his faith by showing love, kindness, and compassion to others, reflecting the teachings of Jesus in his everyday actions, and enabling him to navigate life's ups and downs with grace.

William was a loving husband for 37 years, a cherished brother to Gary Shoop, and devoted father to his children, William, Jon, Joanna, James, and Jillian. He was a source of unwavering support, guidance, and love to his family. He created a nurturing and loving home, where cherished memories were made and treasured moments shared.

Professionally, William achieved great success as a dedicated teacher for over three decades. His passion for education and commitment to his students were evident in the lasting impact he made on countless lives. William's dedication to teaching inspired generations of young minds, and he will be remembered for his patience, wisdom, and ability to instill a love for learning.

Beyond his professional achievements, William had a passion for golf that brought him immense joy. He would spend countless hours on the golf course, honing his skills and enjoying the tranquility of the game. The fairways and greens provided him with a sanctuary where he could connect with nature and find solace in the challenge of each swing.

In addition to golf, William had a deep love for his dogs, Teagan and Jake. They were not just pets but cherished members of his family. He would shower them with love, affection, and endless belly rubs. Their companionship brought him comfort and happiness throughout the years, and they will forever hold a special place in his heart.

William was a true friend to many. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people on a deep level, offering comfort, advice, and unwavering support. His genuine care and compassion touched the lives of countless individuals, creating lasting friendships that spanned a lifetime.

The loss of William leaves a void that can never be filled. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving family, including his brother, Gary Shoop, and children William, Jon, Joanna, James, and Jillian, and his grandchildren Rory, Jeremiah, Joy Cathy, Ella and Riley. He will also be deeply missed by his many friends and prior colleagues.

A celebration of life event to honor and celebrate the life of William Alan Shoop will be held on June 24, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Silky Sullivan's Restaurant, located at 10201 Slater Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. The party will be held to share stories and memories to commemorate William's life.

William's gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, and his legacy will live on in each one of his children and grandchildren. He has now found solace in the embrace of his Heavenly Father. As believers in Jesus Christ we do not grieve as the world grieves, but we grieve as those who have something so real to look forward to, we have hope. May his soul rest peace in the loving embrace of our Savior.
