William's obituary

William Taylor Riley Jr., 55, of Montgomery, Tx entered into paradise on August 16, 2019. William was born on November 10th, 1963 to Martha E. Riley and William T. Riley Sr., in Cincinnati, Ohio. William was preceded in death by his father, William Sr and sister, Kimberly Riley. At the age of 12, William moved with his family to Texas, where he attended Spring Branch high school. He became a certified welder and worked in the oil industry for over 30 years.
William excelled in several sports through school and off the field was a lifelong sports fan, especially his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. When it came to his team he was more of a fanatic, always representing the Buckeyes in some form or fashion. He was also a lover of music and saw most of his favorite bands in concert at least once, and one of his hobbies became collecting various memorabilia from the shows he attended. Some of the concerts he went to were like sporting events themselves as a lot of them involved "mosh pits" and he was right in the middle. He attended The Worship Center Church in Montgomery, Tx., even though Pastor David rejected the idea of a mosh pit in front of the pulpit.
William leaves behind his wife, Lynette Parish Riley of Montgomery, Tx, his mother, Martha Riley, of Bastrop, Tx, sisters Robin Moss and husband Allen of Spring, Tx, Shannon Shine of Bastrop, Tx, and half siblings David Riley, Vicky Riley, Jovanna Riley, and Vickie Oxley, and nephews Preston Moss, Anthony Gonzales, and Jacob Shine.
William had no children of his own but would always step up to provide for the needs of any child, including the two grandchildren he helped raise, Braylon and Brookelynn Collins.
Following cremation, a memorial for William will be held at Magnolia's First Baptist Church, Magnolia, Tx. 77353. Feel free to wear your Buckeye colors. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society.
