Skip and I met as parents through Saint Francis football and soon created a group (GOT) of other parents that had lots of fun socially. I knew Skip was a talented sales trainer and author. When I left Visa and started my own business, Skip and I talked frequently about the challenges of leaving corporate life and carving your own path. His insight was invaluable. He invited me to audit one of his sales classes he was holding for one of his clients. It was an amazing experience to watch Skip in a professional mode, engage all the attendees, ask leading questions and involve the whole audience in his business building principles. You could see the group of fairly experienced sales people eagerly absorbing his wisdom. His approach was magical and it was easy to see how he brought that personality into his personal life. He was an amazingly talented man and is deeply missed.

I am so sad to lose one of my favorite Blue Devils. Loved this guy. Am so sad. My prayers remain with his family and friends.

Skip trained my sales team at two companies. We didn’t chose him because of his content, we chose him because we wanted to be around him. Thinking about your entire family with this terrible loss.

As a teenager I learned about entrepreneurship in high school and was drawn to it. Then I found my way into sales and loved the book The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino.
Then I met Skip Miller in about 2001, one of the Greatest Salesman in the world. And he really helped me soar throughout my career. RIP Skip Miller, I’ll see you on the other side.
Warren Miller is to skiing as Skip Miller is to Selling. One of the greatest of all time.
Thanks for being my friend Mr Miller and for believing in me and for influencing so many sales professionals. Godspeed.

Skip's entire family
so sad for your loss as Skip was a special person. Very driven but one who saw optimism in virtually everything. The memories you all have will last a lifetime and hopefully get you thru some of those voids.
God's got a good one by his side now and knowing Skip he will be that angel looking out for all of us!!!!!!
take care

Chris and I are so sorry for your loss. We will always cherish our memories of Skip. From our bike trip in Italy, Train concert in Reno and early morning ball throwing with our dogs in Saratoga. He was an amazing man in so many ways. Sending our love to the Family. Deb and Chris

My heart goes out to Skip's entire family. I met him professionally years ago and was proud to call him a friend and a great colleague. We had just connected in December and he was enjoying time with family and friends. He had an amazing sense of humor and brought an infectious energy to any room. Professionally he helped me and many of my teammates develop skills and success in the various professions within the Go To Market for software companies. Above all else, he cared about people, and you felt that in every interaction. My sincere condolences to his family. He had a profound impact on me and so many others. Sending positive thoughts.

I'm devastated to hear the news about Skip today. He had a profound impact on my leadership career and I considered him a mentor and friend. Skip and I started working together nearly 10 years ago when he brought M3 Learning to Optimizely, the startup that I led sales at. The primary reason we started working with Skip was that some of our best saleshumans on the team were still using M3 techniques from a previous company, and though their training happened years before they still remembered all the key concepts. He was a major dose of positive energy and impact to hundreds of people at our company. I just caught up with Skip a month ago to hear about how life was in San Diego, and he was so happy about being close to family and spending time with his grandchildren. I can't imagine how is family is feeling, but wanted them to know what an impact he had on my life, personally and professionally.
