William's obituary
He was born to parents, Oscar and Nellie Ragland, on October 14, 1950, in Langdale, Alabama.
Eugene is survived by the love of his life, Cindi Brown. He is also survived by daughters Stephanie Ragland, Shannon (Chris) Bozeman, Lizzi (Ian) Willicott, and stepdaughters Tiffany (Joe) Johnson, Sarah (Greg) Good, as well as twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and his sister Sevilla Beach. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents.
Eugene was known for his childlike spirit, his grand inventions and love for aviation. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed everything from scuba diving to spear fishing and flying kites on the beach. Eugene was an active member of the Krewe of Lafitte for many years, even designing his own float – the dragon. He was also a former volunteer and board member for the March of Dimes.
After retiring from Eglin Air Force Base, he and Cindi moved north to retire in Minnesota.
Eugene was well loved and will be missed by many.
