William's obituary

William Paul Potts, 81 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3rd at his home in Daytona Beach, FL. He was born in Scranton, PA on July 5, 1938. He attended Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey. He served in the US National Guard at Fort Dix and received an honorable discharge. Afterwards, he married Jeanne Kelly, the love of his life on June 4, 1960. He worked as an Office Manager for General Fireproofing Company for more than 25 years. William lived in Metuchen, NJ before retiring to Florida over 16 years ago where he enjoyed cruises, golfing, playing cards and dining out with friends and family.

He was predeceased by his beautiful wife, "his Flower" Jeanne Potts who was granted her angel wings just seven months ago. A big piece of his heart went with her. He was also predeceased by his mother Alice (Hart) Foglia and his step-father Jerry Foglia.

He is survived by his son William J. Potts and wife Julia, his grandson William (Billy) Potts IV of Birdsboro, PA, and his daughter Linda DeBree and her husband John DeBree of Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Potts (wife Jackie), his two sisters Margaret (Peggy) Johnson and Ellen Gallagher (husband Patrick) of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.

There will be an Interment Service at Daytona Memorial Park on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. and immediately followed by a time of gathering with friends and family at the Lohman Funeral Home. A special thank you to all of the staff
at Advent Health Hospice and Home Instead caregivers. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
