William's obituary

It’s with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our beloved William T. Pfeffer Jr. “Pete” on Sunday January 29, 2023. A Haddonfield native, Pete was born August 3, 1936 to his parents William T. Pfeffer Sr. and Eleanor McCorkle Pfeffer. He graduated from Haddonfield Memorial Highschool in 1954, where he continued to raise his family in his childhood hometown. Pete was a U.S Army Reserves Master Sergeant for over 20 years, and a proud member of the Haddonfield Police Department for over 12 years. After his retirement, he kept in touch with retired Haddonfield Police Officers, known as the Silver Bullets. He spent his summers in Ocean Grove with the Five Golden Rings where he volunteered to protect and serve his beloved summer town on weekends. Pete had many career aspirations throughout his life including his time as an Insurance Adjuster for Allstate, Office Manager for Molotsky, Rabkin, and Gross, as well as Managing Partner for Dunleavy and Bitoni Law Firm.

Pete’s proudest accomplishment of all was being a loving partner, father, grandfather, and friend. He was best known for his ability to light up a room. He approached everyone he met with kindness and love. He was an active father that provided his children with memories filled with love and laughter. He was a dedicated grandfather that took part in dropping off his granddaughters to school, dance practice, and anywhere else they needed to go. He made sure every morning was started with a dozen of Dunkin’ Donuts. Anyone that was blessed to have met Pete has been touched by his witty personality and loving heart.

He is survived by his loving life partner of 46 years, Deborah (Conger) Pfeffer with whom they raised their two children Leslie Sheridan (Michael), and Richard Pfeffer (Jacqueline), Grandchildren Kaitlin Morrison (Samuel), Victoria Pfeffer (George), and Brittany Sheridan (Floyd), and loving cousins Kathy McNally and children, Barabara Gizelbach and children, Deborah (Gizelbach) Lulwani (Gull), Teddy Gizelbach (Kathy) and children, Richard Clark and children, Ryan Pfeffer and many more friends and family.

Information on his celebration of life to come in the upcoming days.
