My thoughts and prayers are with you in this most difficult time.  Even though we have connected in many years, I enjoyed the posts on Facebook by Bill and his family.

Dad donated his body to the University of Utah Whole Body Donation. We were telling the doctor at the hospital who was caring for him a few days before he passed that this was his wish. The doctor had trained at the University of Utah; he shared that his own medical foundation was built on the selfless gift of a donor. He expressed deep gratitude for dad’s decision, reassuring us that the University treats donors as their 'first teachers' with the utmost respect. We were especially moved to learn about the Body Donor Memorial Service, a ceremony where students and faculty honor the donors. Given dad’s lifelong love for music, knowing that his gift would be celebrated with such a respectful, somber, and musical tribute brought our family immense peace. It is a beautiful, full-circle way to honor his legacy of helping others. Moran Eye Center also called my mom to ask if dad would be a whole eye donor. So now, his beautiful, curious eyes and capable body will be helping others learn.
