It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. William Charles Moutter on June 17, 2023. Born on December 22, 1937, William lived a vibrant life, rich in laughter and kindness, shaping the lives of those around him in quiet and significant ways.
William is lovingly remembered by his survived daughter and son in law Luonda & James Martin of Louisville Ky, his son Troy and Theresa Moutter of Kentucky, his grandsons Shawn and David Moutter, James Martin Jr, Michael and Jeffrey Feiler, his granddaughters Ashley & (Jeremy) Simpson, Amanda Moutter, Courtney & (Eric) Strout, Kaitlynn and Allie Feiler, Ava and Kayla Martin, Step granddaughters Stephanie & (Joe) Thomas, Amanda & (Timothy) Paul. His 16 great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Mary Luanna Martin and his half sister Martha Hill, brother in law James Donald (Don) Perdew and several nieces and nephews.
He joins his parents, William and Mildred Alice Mars Moutter, Father and Mother in law William (Bill) and Cora Perdew, son William (Billy) Harrell Moutter, Brothers Jim and Leroy, sisters Doreen Hennagin, Mary Ellen Whitmore, Nancy Burns, Marjorie Rakes, half sister Virginia McIntyre, sister in law Margaret Moutter, Odie Cornelison, brother in laws Bill Hennagin, Bill Burns, Jim Moutter, Nephews David Allen and Jeffrey (Jeff)Wayne Burns and Ronald (Ronnie ) Wayne Perdew in eternity who predeceased him.
William was a man of deep wisdom and gentle humor. His ability to light up a room with his playful jesting and infectious laughter was a testament to his character. Known for his kindness and lovable demeanor, he treated others as he wanted to be treated. His enduring belief in hard work, dignity, and respect shaped his life and served as a moral compass for those around him.
His greatest legacy is the importance of being there for family, a principle he lived and breathed every single day. His lessons will continue to guide those he left behind. His admirable disposition and values will be a beacon for his family, illuminating their paths as they navigate the world without him.
Though William has left his earthly home, his spirit remains indelibly etched in the hearts of many people. He will be remembered with warmth and fondness, and he will truly be loved and missed by many family and friends. He was a true role model who we will always look up to. The service will be held at Exeter District Cemetery on July 31, 2023 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers or plants donations we ask you to plant something in the remembrance of him since he really love being in the garden. My Father, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
