During a 40 year career in local 3, a person meets many different people. I met Billy 11 years into my career in 1993, a month after the birth of my second daughter. I used to joke with Bill that he was always in the top 2 or 3 that I worked with. He really was. He always tried to do the right thing to whoever he was involved with. We stayed in touch with each other for over 30 years and though we laughed and joked when we talked, I would hear the pain in his voice when we spoke. I hope he is at peace. I will miss him. He was the best. As Bill would say when he answered the phone, “Anthony, fugetaboutit “ (Boncardo)
Aimee I am so very sorry to hear about Billy's passing, you have my deepest condolences. My name is Kenny and I was your Father's apprentice back in 2003-2004 and we worked together again in 2009-2010, we stayed in touch for almost 20 years and he talked about you in particular often. He taught a great deal about what it is to be a Local #3 Electrician and I will miss him very much. Again, you have my deepest condolences.
I was privileged to work with Bill on subway work in NYC. He always found a way to make difficult work as enjoyable as possible. I will never forget his sense of humor, work ethic and genuine kindness. Rest in peace, my brother.
Deepest condolences. Bill and I grew up together on 54th Street as kids. When I left Bayonne in '72, Bill was the one who came to see me off (on his Schwinn Orange Crate). We reconnected not long ago - a great guy with a big heart.... RIP, Bill
So sorry and sad to hear of Billy's passing. Over 50 years of friendship and good times. Our neighborhood was the best and so was he. Rest in Peace my friend 🧡
