Widdy's obituary

The one and only William “Widdy” Mac Davis, 65, treasured husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many, went to be with our Lord on December 27, 2020. Widdy, as known to all, was born and raised in Tampa, FL and was a recent resident of Hudson, FL. He graduated in 1973 from T.R. Robinson High School and worked in the industrial air conditioning industry for most of his adult life, owning his own business for many years. He was most recently employed in Sales at Pasco Iron & Metal. He was a Master Mason affiliated with Hillsborough Lodge #25.

He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Davis of Hudson; daughter Kasey Davis & Antonio, son Tyler Davis & Mishell, and daughter Emily Cleveland & husband Trevor, all of Tampa; brother Walter “Waddy” Davis & wife Lynn of Fort White; sister-in-law Telsie Davis of Montgomery, AL; stepdaughter Heather Horner of Boise, ID; and three grandchildren, Mason, Marley, and Jess. He is predeceased by his father, H. Tom Davis, Sr.; mother, Mary C. Davis; brother, H. Tom Davis, Jr. and sister, Mary Carrell “Molly” Davis.

Widdy and Tyler moved to Boise, ID in 2004, where he met the love of his life, Peggy. They enjoyed many wonderful years of golf, skiing, camping and fishing but his desire to be with his children and grandchildren brought them back to beautiful Florida in 2018.

Widdy’s happiest times were spent outdoors making the most of every day with his family and friends, he will be so dearly missed. He was the best grandpa to Emily’s children, Mason & Marley, and Heather’s son Jess and was so looking forward to welcoming another grandson that Tyler & Mishell will be having this year. He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Widdy’s life will be held later, date & details forthcoming. To request information from the family please email kmd229@gmail.com.
