Please join us for a Celebration of Life for Bill Luther

We will gather Saturday, November 6th at 2:30pm at Santa Fe Lake in Augusta KS (11367 SW Shore Dr, Augusta KS). A casual reception and meal will follow beginning 5:30 pm at the home of Molly and Noah Stephenson, 932 N Faulkner, Wichita KS.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors and the water, good music, good food and drink, and good company. We thought that a day at the lake would be a great way to celebrate his memory. We will be outdoors and Bill wasn't a fancy guy, so please dress casually and for the weather. We will have heaters and a fire available to chase away the November chill. Santa Fe Lake charges a per vehicle entrance fee of $10. If this is a hardship for you, we will have some funds set aside at the gate that you can request for the entrance fee.

It is important to us to have a celebration that Bill would enjoy attending, which means this will not be a stuffy affair. We would love for anyone who desires to come before or stay after to enjoy some lake time. Catch and release fishing is included in the entrance fee. Paddle craft are allowed on the lake (kayaks, canoes, etc.) and rentals are available through Flatwater Fitness (you must call them to schedule at 316-712-8795). Santa Fe has absolutely lovely hiking and mountain biking trails as well. We will conclude our time at the lake with cake and coffee.

Anyone who would like to spend time visiting and sharing is welcome to join us at the home of Molly and Noah Stephenson beginning at 5:30 pm and continuing through the evening. We will have a meal and a bit of whiskey available to share with you all.

Our celebration will include sharing of stories and memories of Bill and we would love contributions from his friends in this way. We would also love to see your photos of Bill and hear of songs that remind you of him.

Thank you for your love and support through this time and thank you in advance for helping us say goodbye in a very "Bill" fashion.
