It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William "Bill" James, fondly known as Bill but preferring his full name, William. Born on July 4, 1955, he lived a life of vibrancy and warm, outgoing personality until his untimely departure on October 14, 2024.

William was surrounded and survived by a loving family which includes his sister Debra Lambert, his brother Ronald James, and his children Jessica Sides and Blake James. He was predeceased by his father, William C James. Bill's memory lives on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Bill had a lifelong passion for literature. The Lord of the Rings held a special place among his favorite reads. He also enjoyed the classic TV show Mash and enthusiastically supported Alabama's sports teams. He found peace and happiness in fishing, one of his favorite recreational activities. But these hobbies and interests were mere threads in the rich tapestry of his life.

Above all, Bill's greatest accomplishment, and his greatest pride, were his children. This testament to his love and dedication has touched countless lives, and their memories of him will endure. William was outgoing, and his kindness and warmth were felt by everyone who crossed his path.

The loss of William "Bill" James leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. He will be forever missed, and never forgotten. We take comfort in knowing that his spirit is at peace and his memory continues to shine brightly in our hearts.
