My Dad, William (Bill) Laing Jr. fought a 14 month battle with esophogeal cancer. He endured chemo, radiation, surgery and multiple procedures and complications.  He was deemed cancer free in October and was on the mend. In February, he began to have issues with his ability to swallow and his health and weight were declining. In April, he had another scan that revealed inoperable terminal cancer in his lymph nodes, trachea and lungs. He was given a short time to live and was placed in home hospice care. He survived 16 days after his new diagnosis. The turnaround from cancer free to terminal was incredibly fast and left our family very little time to prepare for the costs of his final arrangements. Dad was a very loving and giving son, brother, husband, father, (great) grandfather, uncle, and friend. Many know him from his time working as a mechanic and rollback driver for Midway Service Center in Front Royal, Va. My family is very appreciative of any help, including prayers for strength to endure this devastating loss.
