Mr. K, as we affectionately called him, was one of the finest people I have ever met. He genuinely cared about all of his choir students and made each one of us feel special. High school is not always easy. It is a time of change and growing pains. No matter how hard it was some days, I always had something to look forward to in going to Mr. K's class. I will never forget the man.

Mr. K was my choir director at Smithson Valley High School for four fun filled years. we went to so many competitions because he was not only fun, but a master musician and truly great director. Mr. K taught us to sing from the heart. The man i knew and loved was silly a lot of the time, but could also be very serious; and he didn’t take any lip from any of us kids. shut your cake holes, dear hearts, in a moment of silence for a greatly respected gentleman.
