Mr. K, as we affectionately called him, was one of the finest people I have ever met.  He genuinely cared about all of his choir students and made each one of us feel special.  High school is not always easy. It is a time of change and growing pains.  No matter how hard it was some days, I always had something to look forward to in going to Mr. K's class.  I will never forget the man.
I am very sorry that you and your family have suffered such a loss.  As much as all of us (his students) loved him and learned from him, you were his dear family.  Thank you, Ruth, for always allowing his “fan club” to check on him and find out how he was doing.  Very kind of you.  May God give you comfort and strength…

Mercy, you surely are gonna be missed. You were the real deal and such an exceptional human being. Thanks for always reminding me of my value and encouraging your students. Thank you.

Mr. K was my choir director at Smithson Valley High School for four fun filled years. we went to so many competitions because he was not only fun, but a master musician and truly great director. Mr. K taught us to sing from the heart. The man i knew and loved was silly a lot of the time, but could also be very serious; and he didn’t take any lip from any of us kids. shut your cake holes, dear hearts, in a moment of silence for a greatly respected gentleman. God bless and rest your soul sweet papa K.

My favorite music teacher ever. He was a wonderful kind man and to this day I breathe correct and taught my granddaughter also. I still speak of him from time to time and always will. God bless him and the entire family.

This wonderful man helped me get to All State Choir the two years he was my choir director! I will never forget his uncanny mannerisms and funny wit that he constantly used while he was my choir director at NBHS! You will be greatly missed!! Love to you and your family!❤️
I met Bill when I joined Gemischter Chor Harmonie, he was the Choir Director, and I learned a lot about Music, and singing Harmonie, he was a strict teacher, but fair ,  he knew to teach music.
