William's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William "Bill" Knapp, a man of great kindness and generosity. Born on June 8, 1955, Bill lived a fulfilling life filled with love, faith, and service. He departed from this life on July 16, 2023, leaving a void that cannot be filled.
Bill was a man known for his warm-heartedness and willingness to always provide a helping hand. He was the embodiment of the phrase "would give the shirt off his back" and was always ready to assist anyone in need. Bill came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in his early 20's and lived a very fulfilling life as a believer and always looked forward to seeing Him "face to face." His guiding principle was the biblical verse, John 3:16, reflecting his deep spirituality and his eternal belief in the power of love and sacrifice.
His career spanned 20+ years with the water treatment plant in Forest Grove, where he was well-respected and admired. He always prioritized the spiritual needs of those around him and helped countless individuals over the years. His retirement came after more than two decades of selfless service to the county. The memory of his contributions will remain etched in the minds and hearts of those whose lives he impacted.
Bill's legacy lives on through his three children, and seven grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, his loving daughters Jennifer Snellgrove and Crystal Houck, and his equally caring son, Phillip Knapp, his brothers Don, John, and Pete Knapp, his sisters, Karen Hale, Sue George, and Kitty Tellus. Bill's unwavering guidance and unconditional love will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who knew him.
His departure leaves a heavy void in our hearts, yet we are grateful for the profound love and wisdom he shared in his lifetime. Bill's memory will forever remain a beacon of kindness, selflessness, and generosity. As we grieve his loss, we simultaneously celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the moments we were fortunate to share with him. May his soul rest in peace.
