It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William "Pookie" Johnson, lovingly known as Pookie. He was born on February 27, 1974, and passed away on June 20, 2024.

William is survived by his daughters; Santana Person, Cedriana Johnson, Falicity Holloway, and Brandy Scott. He was predeceased by his parents; mother Edna Johnson and father William Cunning.

Known for his funny, confident, calm, and laid-back personality, William was a unique and cherished individual. His favorite pastimes included playing and bonding with his grandchildren, who were his greatest joy and accomplishment. He was a fan of the Isley Brothers' music and enjoyed watching Steelers' games. His culinary preference leaned towards chicken, and he had a particular fondness for vacationing in California.

William lived his life by the principle 'Do unto others as you would want others do unto you’. His legacy is one of kindness and generosity, which has impacted everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing him. The love he had for his grandchildren was immense, and he often referred to his grandkids as being his greatest accomplishment.

William will be deeply missed by everyone that has come in contact with him. His memories and lessons will continue to live on through his daughters and grandchildren, and the countless lives he's touched with his kindness and generosity. May his soul rest in peace.
