Bill's obituary
It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Jones, who passed away at the age of 69. Born in Jackson, Michigan, Bill spent most of his life in Jacksonville, Florida, where he built a life full of passion, creativity, and devotion to his family.
Bill was a man of many talents and interests. A gifted guitarist and skilled photographer, he also found joy in restoring and riding vintage motorcycles, crafting custom knives, building intricate models, and maintaining aquariums. His love for collecting—whether it was baseball cards or antique firearms—reflected his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Bill was a proud member of both the BMW Motorcycle Club of Jacksonville and the Atlantic Coast Antique Motorcycle Club, where he shared his enthusiasm with fellow riders and collectors.
He retired in 2023 after 23 dedicated years with Stromquist and Company, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and camaraderie.
Above all, Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Debbie; his daughter Jessica (41); his son Cody (40); his son-in-law Emil (41); and his cherished granddaughters Austen Eloise (5) and Elliot Gray (3). He is also survived by his sister Donna (71), brothers Jimmy (61) and Danny (60), and many loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Jean, father Julian, and stepfather Larry.
Bill’s love for his family was boundless. He was always there—steady, supportive, and full of heart. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
