Bill's obituary
William J. "Bill" Miller passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025. Bill was born on May 31, 1938 in Onalaska, Wisconsin to Lyle and Doris (MacCartney) Miller. He was one of twelve children.
Bill proudly served as a U.S. Marine prior to embarking on his career as a successful, professional Bartender. He enjoyed his work at several establishments in the downtown Minneapolis area including the Flame Room at the Radisson, Speakeasy Bar and Lee's Liquor Lounge.
Bill had a kind heart, a competitive edge, a quick-witted sense of humor and was passionate about what he believed in. He loved entertaining his patrons and always encouraged those around him to cheer for the Green Bay Packers.
In retirement Bill found enjoyment in challenging anyone he could to a game of cribbage, cards or Yahtzee. He relished the times spent with family and could always be found in the company of his consistent and most beloved cat "Kitty".
He is forever remembered by his son, James (Jonalyn) Miller; daughter Kristine Miller; step-daughter Sheila (David) Craig; and five grandchildren.
A private family service will be held on a later date at the Onalaska City Cemetery in Onalaska, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Animal Humane Society, reflecting Bill's compassionate spirit.
