William (Bill) Jacobs, father, grandfather, and veteran, passed away at age 76 on March 22nd, 2025. He was formerly married to Pamela Jacobs; Father of Bill Jacobs, Jim Jacobs, and Wendy (Ben) Molenhouse; Grandfather of Mina, Charlie, Esther, Christopher, James, and Grace. William (Bill) was born March 27th, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to William R. Jacobs and Evelyn Jacobs, née Nehlsen, who preceded him in death. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara.

Bill served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War, a testament to his unwavering service to his country. In his younger years, Bill also enjoyed coaching and playing soccer, driving his daughter to countless games and tournaments. Bill had a fondness for brass instruments and supported his son’s musical aspirations by ensuring he had many opportunities to develop. Bill took pride in owning a boat, taking several fishing trips to Canada with his sons and spending time fishing on Michigan lakes. Bill retired from IBM after 30 years of service and lived in Livonia, where he was involved with Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church and in the lives of his grandkids, Christopher, James, and Grace. Bill is survived by his siblings, Karen and Nancy. His love for Diet Dr. Pepper, self-reliance, and confidence in his own abilities will be remembered by those who knew him for years to come.
