William Eric Heifner, 51, of Hewitt, Texas, passed away on March 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
William was born on November 28, 1972, in Corsicana, Texas, to his loving parents, Dave Allyn Heifner and Linda Gayle Phillips. Throughout his life, he embodied warmth, kindness, and a passion for living to the fullest.
As a licensed commercial airline pilot, William navigated the skies with skill and dedication, bringing comfort and assurance to countless passengers during his career. For eight years, he lent his expertise to Mars Wrigley in Waco, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company.
Beyond his professional endeavors, William found joy and solace in music. Whether strumming his guitar or playing the keyboard, his love for music was boundless. His talent and enthusiasm uplifted the spirits of all who had the pleasure of hearing him play.
William was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Hewitt, Texas, where his faith and sense of community flourished. His presence brought comfort and strength to his fellow congregants, embodying the values of compassion and fellowship.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Rene Heifner, and his children: Connie Gayle Heifner, Erica Jean Heifner, Skylar Rene Arehart, and Taylor William Arehart. He was a loving grandfather to his granddaughters, Abigail White and Lilith Garcia. William is also survived by his parents, Dave and Sheri Heifner, and Linda and Terry Brown, as well as his siblings: Bryan Heifner, Bobby Heifner, Quincy Heifner, and Asia Coleman. He will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his immediate family, William is preceded in death by his first wife, Telesha Heifner, whose memory he cherished dearly.
The family has chosen cremation in the care of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Through his organ donation, William has benefited the lives of three people.
