It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William Thomas "Tom" Hawkins on June 24, 2024. Tom was born January 18, 1945, to Strather William Hawkins and Edna Mae Burden Hawkins.

Tom was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he completed the ROTC program and accepted a commision in the United States Army Signal Corps.  He served in Vietnam and was stationed at Oahu, Hawaii.  Tom enjoyed cooking, gunsmithing, music, and spending time with friends.  An exceptional man, Tom left a lasting impression on all who knew him. 

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hawkins; his son, William Paul Hawkins, and stepson Bill (Malinda) Boyette.  Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as special family friends.

Preceded in death by his parents and by a daughter, Tracey Hawkins.

Tom's life will be celebrated privately according to his wishes. We kindly request all to remember him and his family in their thoughts and prayers.
