Bill's obituary
Bill graduated high school at the age of 16 and worked at the Denison Herold. He enrolled into Austin College and completed one year before enlisting into the US ARMY in 1946. After serving in the military for 2 years and being stationed in Japan during WWII, Bill returned home and returned to college. Bill graduated from Austin College with a bachelor's degree in 1950, majoring in psychology and minoring in mathematics. He was dedicated to an honest career and felt extremely privileged to work with Sonny Oates until retirement in 1998 . Bill was a devoted husband and father and cared deeply for his family making sure to never miss any of his kids sporting events or other after school activities. In his free time, he loved playing chess, bridge and spending time with his family. He was the kind of man that most men strive to be.
Bill was a son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to a large loving family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann Gerwick; son's, Fred Gerwick & his wife Jenny of Plano, Texas, Billy Gerwick & his wife Tanni of Spring, Texas and Mike Donlon & his wife Linda of Rowlett; daughter's, Sandy Leroy & her husband James of Stevenson, Alabama, Janice Gerwick of Denison, Texas and Peggy Ring of Arlington, Texas; grandkids: Fred Gerwick Jr., Jennifer Gerwick-Brown, Jason Leroy, Kasey Lindsey, Brittney Moore, Aaron Gerwick, Gavin Gerwick, Grayson Gerwick and Gage Gerwick; as well as numerous other family members and countless friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on October 10, 2020, at 10 A.M. at McNutt Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. All are welcome to attend Bill's service, however, due to the sensitives of Covid19, we understand everyone's situation is different. We trust you know what is best your family and we will understand if you're unable to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Little Flock Church in the memory of Bill Gerwick. Our wish is to honor and remember his life by investing in the life's of others. May God bless and multiply every single donation for His glory.
