Bill's obituary
William George "Bill" Donaldson, born on October 14, 1963, in San Fernando, California, passed away on December 29, 2024, in Portola, California. He was 61 years old.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Sheri; his daughter, Cassandra "Cassie"; his stepchildren, Jamie and Marty; his parents, George and Lois; his brothers, Robert and Bruce; and his stepgrandchildren, Emery, Damaje, Aries, and Kyrie. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and countless friends who will deeply miss him.
Bill had a lifelong love of the outdoors. As a boy scout in his youth, he developed a passion for nature that led him to pursue a forestry degree at Sierra College in Rocklin, California. Though he did not become a forest ranger as he had once dreamed, Bill found fulfillment in his career as a commercial painter and later as a project manager and estimator. He worked for the same family-owned company from the mid-1980s until his retirement in 2024. Bill spent much of his adult life in Reno, Nevada.
Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Bill was a consummate jokester who could find laughter in any situation. One of his favorite sayings was “I crack me up." Above all else, Bill was a warm and loving man who prioritized the happiness and safety of his family. His devotion as a husband and father will be remembered always.
In accordance with Bill’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Bill’s absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
