William Sherman Fassett was born to William E. and Mildred Fassett on October 22nd 1943 in Ithaca, New York.

He graduated from Watkins Glen Central School in 1961 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Buffalo in 1967.

Bill served in the army, completing a tour overseas in Korea. During his time there he held many roles including mail carrier and medic. After his time in the military was over, he married and moved across the country to Phoenix, Arizona where he lived out a majority of the rest of his life.

As a civilian he worked as a cab driver, a small business owner, in delivery for the United States Postal Service, and in security.

He died on March 28th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife Katherine Fassett, who remained his close friend and confidant until she passed.

He is survived by his 2 children: Monica (Chris) Luginbuhl and Bill (Patricia) Fassett, and 2 grandchildren: Katherine and Salvatore Luginbuhl.
