Background
Those of you who knew Bill know that he was stronger than most, diagnosed with HSP (hereditary spastic paraplegia) in his forties. HSP is a rare and under researched neurological disorder, and it was a passion of Bill's to keep up to date with all of the most recent science and research related to the disorder. He was also incredibly hopeful, and always looking towards the future with a glass half full. He was also our biggest coach, cheerleader, and peer pressurer on the slopes. His Christmas gift this year would have been to try out Vermont Adaptive, which helps children and adults with disabilities with adaptive skiing. Instead of flowers, please consider donating to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, Inc, or Vermont Adaptive.
