I was planning to attend the memorial today but sadly, I'm not going to make it. I met Bill when I was 15 on a Presbytery of Detroit canoeing trip and we've been friends ever since. As a teenager he was so funny and supportive and kind, and that never changed. When I was feeling low he always knew how to cheer me up, but he also understood how to companionably sit with me in sadness. To find a full-fledged adult who knows how to honor the full spectrum of human emotion is challenging enough, but Bill intuitively had that skill as an inexperienced and humble teenager. I simply cannot say how profoundly he impacted my life. I'll remember him with deep fondness forever, and my prayers are with everyone who loved him, particularly Kirstin, Liam, Quinn, Reed, Janet, and Mrs. Dunlop. I'll be holding all of you in my prayers and close to my heart in the days and months ahead.
I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Bill.  I knew Bill from Celtic Cross and we taught Sunday school together back when we were kids ourselves.  To the entire Dunlop family,  my thoughts and prayers are with you all .
So sorry for your loss Aunt Peg, may you and the family find peace and comfort during this difficult time. Hugs from Nebraska.

I first met Billy when he was just a little boy.  I lived above his family’s flat at what we called “Mayfield Manor”.  He was a beautiful child and it was a pleasure to watch him grow up.  I am so sorry for his loss and my heart breaks for his family.
We were visiting Bill and his family about 10 years ago.  I remember sipping lemonade by the pool watching Bill play with his boys in the pool.  He'd throw them,  tease them,  splash them.   They laughed and begged for more.  How much they love him!
