It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Duffy, who left us on February 17, 2024. Born on October 13, 1958, Bill was known for his immeasurable work ethic, vibrant sense of humor, and the deep love he held for his family and faith.
Bill leaves behind his wife Donna Duffy, and his cherished daughter, Amanda Duffy, his brother Pat Duffy, his nephew Kevin Wincer, his niece Donna Fitzpatrick, and his stepchildren Timothy Carter and his wife, Kristy, Charles Isaac Carter and his wife, Lucy, and Charity Robertson along with her husband Michael. He is predeceased by his father, John Duffy, mother, Dorothy Thomas Duffy, sister, Linda Osieczonek, and brothers Robert and James Duffy.
Known for his disciplined approach to life, Bill was a craftsman who took pride in his work. As a Sheet Metal Worker affiliated with the Local #85, he lent his talents to McKenney's Inc. with the aspiration to retire from the same. Whether it was guiding apprentices in learning the nuances of his trade or tirelessly working on his various home projects, Bill embodied dedication in every endeavor he embarked upon.
Bill's zest for life extended beyond his work. He was an active individual who enjoyed his exercise routines and enjoyed walks in the park. His recent undertaking of constructing a bridge in his backyard marked his unyielding spirit and passion for workmanship. Indeed, his personality was marked not just by his discipline and diligence, but also by an infectious sense of humor that would always get a laugh.
Among his accomplishments, Bill held his daughter Amanda in the highest regard, praising her existence as the best thing he ever did. He was a devout Christian, and it was his fervent desire to lead a life that brought glory to God. As we remember Bill, we honor his life that was marked by hard work, love for his family, and unwavering faith.
Bill's legacy is an inspiring testament to his life. He strived for excellence, taught many the value of hard work, derived joy from making others laugh, and most importantly, lived a life that reflected his faith in God.
