Bill's obituary
Bill was born November 16, 1943 in Southwest Philadelphia to John and Catherine (Kay) Cassidy Doyle. He graduated from West Catholic High School for Boys and continued on to receive an Accounting degree from LaSalle University in Philadelphia.
Bill was married to Marianne, née Schmid, on November 9, 1968; they were married for over 52 years.
Bill taught at Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, NJ as a Math Teacher until 1974. He went on to become Night Manager at Levin’s Produce at the Philadelphia Food Distribution Center until his retirement in 2010.
He enjoyed Golfing, playing Chess, Pinocle, Ping Pong and Pool. But his primary enjoyment was in looking after his twin granddaughters whenever needed. Bill also reveled in being a helpful neighbor wherever he lived.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marianne née Schmid, daughter, Molly, son-in-law, Emory Vandiver, grandchildren, Faith Patrice and Marissa Doyle Vandiver; brothers John (Jerry) (Joan) and Tom (Maria) Doyle; sisters, Pat, Mary and Kathy; brother in law, Steve Beckson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sons, Sean and Patrick Doyle and his sister, Margaret (Peggy) Beckson.
The Family wishes to thank the members of Crossroads Hospice for their assistance and support; also the Clergy and Volunteers of St. Helena’s Catholic Church in Blue Bell, PA
