Tony's obituary

William "Tony" Anthony Dotson, age 66, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 12th, 2023. He was born in Savannah, Georgia on July 15th, 1956, the son of Dorothy Taulbee and Bill Dotson. He grew up mostly outside of Baltimore, Maryland around the Glen Burnie and Odenton areas and served two years in the Marines. He went on to be a skilled diesel mechanic for Cummins Diesel for 23 years.

Tony had a successful career in diesel mechanics, known to be able to fix things others could not. He took a strong interest in motorcycles and devoted himself to drag racing, becoming motorcycle champion throughout the 90's at Mason Dixon Dragway and making many friends along the way that he cherished deeply. He was always willing to help others with their cars or motorcycles and in recent years had become the heart of the neighborhood, always around to help with whatever mechanical issues people had.

Tony will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy, and their children Jessica, Ryan, and William as well as his first wife Carolina and their daughter Heather, grandchildren Violet and Avery, and his siblings Jeannie, Bea, Wayne, Linda, Donald, and Clyde. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill.

A celebration of Tony's life will be held on April 23rd at Salem Lutheran Church in Catonsville at 2:00pm and also live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person. An open reception will be held afterwards at his daughter Jessica's house in Catonsville.
