William's obituary

William V Crosswhite, Jr., 82 died peacefully after a long battle with multiple myeloma in New York City. Retired Bank of America Investment Executive Vice President, Bronze Star Vietnam veteran, West Hartford boys and girls soccer and basketball coach, UCONN Huskies men’s and women’s basketball superfan, lover of cats, classical music, elephants and Monty Python; but most of all devoted and loving husband and father. Survived by wife Ilona, daughter Anastasia, son Wyatt and sister Marilyn McLaughlin. Donations in lieu of flowers requested to his favorite charities: Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (his elephants), Our Companions Animal Rescue (his cats), and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital (for the amazing care he received, especially Dr. Malin Hultcrantz and her team).
