We were so sorry to hear about Billy's passing, and our condolences go out to his family and friends. We will miss his hilarious never ending stories and jokes, and optimistic personality.
One of our fondest memories of Billy was when we went on a ski trip to Vail Colorado with him and Suzy, and another couple they did not know. Well, Terry and I missed our flight, which left Billy and Suzy wondering where we were and they had no idea of who the other couple was. Only Billy would stand up in the aisle of a flying airplane and shout out "Does anyone know Terry Havens"? That did the trick, and Billy & Suzy met the other couple while they waited for us to come in on the next flight. On that same trip, Billy & Terry skied down the Continental Divide while Suzy & I waited at the bottom. They looked like snowmen by the time they reached the bottom!
My prayers and thoughts go to his son, family and friends. I've known Billy as soon as he came to Whitney. I really got a kick out of his personality and his energy of being able to do things and would never give up on anything. His independence and willingness to help other people and do things for others will always be an inspiration to me to never give up. His memory will always be with me as long as I live.
