Bill and his wife were good neighbors, Bill would always invite me into their home. He only lived 2 houses down from me. We met in the early 1992 and I had to move to California on a work transfer, in 1995, but leased out my house. Through the years he helped me keep tabs on my renters, good, bad and ugly. Every time I would come back into town, I would visit with Bill and his Sally.  I remember shipping a bottle of Crown Royal to Bill (Probably not Legally) to thank him for his help.

We moved back to Texas in 2010 and moved into our old house, we were neighbors again, like before. In the almost 15 years, I was away, it was like I had never left, Bill and his wife were just like I remembered. They were always inviting friendly. Then when we moved into our current home, in 2012, we lost contact. I saw him a few times, but work and family activities kept me too busy to visit the old neighborhood. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

Please accept my condolences, may he rest in peace! 🙏🏼🇺🇸

Hi Bill

Not the same since you have been gone. I remember when you would pass me on my motorcycle and I would chase you back home. You didnt know who it was because I had a helmet on. I would follow to the back of your house and you would laugh when you realize it was me. You would invite me in and give me a beer. The beer tasted good on a hot summer Texas day. Those were the good old days. I know your with your wife in a better place. I will miss you .  Steve your friend and neighbor

I tried to call Bill yesterday and catch up with him.  His numbers were disconnected.  I was saddened to find that he has passed away.  I am his old next door neighbor.  Please keep me posted of the memorial service for him.

Sending hugs!

Annette
