William L Blake age 69 of North Pekin, IL passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 21, 2023 at Richard Owens Hospice Center in Peoria, IL. He fought a lengthy battle of dementia and COPD.  

William was born 11/30/1953 in Peoria IL to Opal and Leonard Blake. He married Nancy Kirkpatrick-Wise on July 16, 1988. 

William (Bill) became a lifetime member as a Bail Enforcement Agent in 1997, along with partners Chuck Kaiser and Denny (Bam Bam) Loser who proceeded him in death. Bill loved hunting and fishing and spent  many seasons with  members of his family and friends doing what he loved. He enjoyed working outside in the yard doing many different activities. He loved animals, especially his dogs. He enjoyed time with all of his family and all children. He retired from the trucking industry in 2016.

William is survived by his wife Nancy Blake, his children Jami (Stephen) Couch, Jason (Karen) Blake, Dawn (Jeremy) Veal, Derek (Mandy) Wise, and British Wise-Blake (Austin Knapp). 

Grandchildren are Jesse Blake (Michelle Rogers), Jennifer Blake, Dominic Martin, Chevy, Ali, and Gracie Blake, Kiya Veal, Stephen Simmons (Becca Hunt), Derrik Vance (Derricka Mcninch), and  Damien Vance.

Great-Grandchildren are Sophia, Leia, and Logan Simmons, Saphiya Blake, and Justin Knapp.

He is also survived by his sisters, Rosie Sullivan, Lillie Franklin, and Lydia (Gary Dishman). 

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who he loved dearly.

William was proceeded in death by his parents Leonard and Opal Blake, sisters Hettie Hutton, Laura Mae Dohm, Nancy Potter, brothers, James Dishman, Ronnie Dishman, and Dallas Dishman.

Per Williams request, there will be no services and burial will be at a later date. Cremation rights have been accorded.
